The Unholy Gospel Band return this summer for their first performance at The Anchor Bar since the venue reopened.
Fronted by Cormac Neeson (The Answer), The Unholy Gospel Band is Northern Ireland's first authentic American gospel band, delivering soul-stirring performances inspired by the rich traditions of gospel music. Featuring an all-star lineup including Michael Mormecha (drums), Claire McCartney (keys), Donal Scullion (vocals/lead guitar) and Eamon Hanlon (bass), the band brings together some of the country's finest musicians.
Expect powerful vocals, rich harmonies and timeless songs by Mahalia Jackson, The Staple Singers, Jackie Wilsonand many more. As the band themselves say, they "ain't holy, but the music is gospel."
A joyful, uplifting evening of music guaranteed to raise the roof. Hallelujah!
“Great line-up, [and] pot of songs.
