Comedy and television legend Roy Walker makes his way to Newcastle Community Cinema with Catch Yourself On!, a very special evening celebrating more than five decades in showbusiness.
Warm, clean, effortlessly funny and armed with impeccable comic timing, Roy represents old-school comedy at its very best. From his early years working the clubs and sharing bills with some of the biggest names in entertainment, to becoming a household name as the much-loved host of ITV’s Catchphrase, his is a remarkable career that has entertained generations.
More recently, Roy has returned to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and toured alongside his comedian son Phil Walker, showing that great comedy, brilliant storytelling and perfect timing never go out of fashion.
Catch Yourself On! brings together stand-up, stories and memories from Roy’s extraordinary career, with more than a few nods to the television show and catchphrases that made him a household favourite.
Join us at Newcastle Community Cinema for a wonderfully nostalgic and very funny evening with a genuine showbusiness legend.
