A Celebration of Father Ted
It’s now over 35 years since the iconic and endlessly hilarious Father Ted first hit our screens, becoming a cornerstone of Irish television. With its razor-sharp, highly quotable scripts and surreal humour, the show delivered a cathartic critique of the Catholic Church while embedding catchphrases and moments that remain firmly rooted in the national lexicon. A true cultural phenomenon and national treasure.
Join us for A Celebration of Father Ted, featuring Joe “Father Damo” Rooney — the rebellious, football-loving, Oasis-blasting priest idolised by Dougal McGuire — and Patrick “Eoin Clove” McDonnell, Craggy Island’s very own TV personality and firm favourite of Mrs Doyle. Together, they’ll look back on the show’s legacy with behind-the-scenes stories, unforgettable characters, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.
Expect live renditions of My Lovely Horse, memories of the Lovely Girls contest, those feckin’ dancing priests, loads of audience participation, and a Father Ted quiz to test even the most devoted fans.
Dressing up is strongly encouraged as we celebrate Ireland’s finest sitcom, with prizes for the best costumes on the night.
