Luka Bloom

Luka Bloom, born Kevin Barry Moore, is one of Ireland's most influential and enduring singer-songwriters. A trailblazer who blends folk tradition with bold reinvention, Bloom emerged from the European folk scene in the 1980s before adopting his iconic stage name in 1987 and forging a powerful solo acoustic style infused with rock-like intensity.

Landmark albums including The Acoustic Motorbike and Between the Mountain and the Moon earned him international acclaim, establishing Bloom as a performer of rare emotional depth and lyrical honesty. His prolific career spans heartfelt folk songwriting, world-music influences and experimental projects, including spoken-word and guided meditation recordings.

A tireless live performer and fiercely independent artist, Luka Bloom remains a true DIY troubadour — fearless, poetic and continually evolving — whose work continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
