CALIFORNIA

IRISH

California Irish are a seven-piece folk/Americana band fronted by Cormac Neeson of The Answer, blending the harmony-rich sounds of Laurel Canyon with a distinctly Irish heart.

Recording live to analogue tape, their debut album The Mountains Are My Friends captures the warmth and imperfections of musicians playing together in a room.

Winners of the NI Music Prize for Best Single with Julie Ann, the band have played sold-out shows across Northern Ireland alongside festival appearances including Stendhal and Eats & Beats.

They are also behind The Old Town Project, a growing collaborative songwriting project celebrating real stories, lived experience and human creativity.
